Basic understanding in the chemistry and biology field is being greatly advanced by the advanced techniques. The last century has witnessed a dramatic growth in all facets of research in chemistry and life sciences, i.e, isolation of novel and complex natural products; development of innovative methodologies for the synthesis of novel and complex compounds; development of efficient catalysts for bringing out regio-, stereo- and enantioselective transformations; synthesis of compounds which exhibit useful biological properties targeted towards drugs or material properties for producing molecular devices such as molecular switches and liquid crystals; development of modern techniques for environmentally friendly (green chemistry) industrial processes, genomics and proteomics, etc.

Hacettepe Journal of Biology and Chemistry delivers original research articles and reviews as well as spotlights of current research in chemistry and biology, profiles of experts and points of view. The journal also serves as a forum to facilitate the communication between biologists and chemists that will translate into new research opportunities and discoveries. We welcome studies on all branches of chemistry and biology. It is understood that submitted work is based upon original results and has not been published previously.
